Yuna Kobayashi is now in her final year at Konan University with a major in Economics. She is currently a member of Table 5, focusing on the topics of Mental Health Care: Create a healthy lifestyle for young people.

"I think it is difficult to keep mental health because it depends on the environment and people around us. But if we know how to relieve our stress and maintain our mental health, we may be heading in a good way. If the way of thinking change, the way of life changes, and I think we can maintain the health of heart."

Q1. Please tell us what are the reasons/motivations that made you apply for ISC65?

Hi ! I’m Yuna Kobayshi! I will participate in ISC65 from Kobe. I’m an economics major at Konan university. I’m a senior now!

I like watching YouTube very much! I always make time for YouTube after dinner because it makes me relax. You might be wondering what kind of YouTube I like. It’s Japanese YouTuber, ASMR, music, Japanese anime and comedy! Especially I love Dragon Ball and Ghibili's anime! If there is a person who likes them, I would like to talk!!

The reason why I decided to join ISC65 is that overseas participants who joined ISC63・ISC64 are very good people and very fulfilling in the main conference. It makes me want to participate too!!! I’m not good at speaking English, but I like to communicate, and I would like to talk with a lot of ISC65 participants and get along !!

Thank You!!!

Q2.What do you think about your table’s topic?

I will join table5! The topic of table5 is “ Mental health Care ~ Creating a mentally healthy lifestyle for young people~”.

I had a hard time to go to school when I was a high school student. Whatever I thought, it was negative thinking. At that time, I could not change my thinking, regardless of what my parents and teachers told me, and eventually I could change my thinking after the environment changed.

I think it is difficult to keep mental health because it depends on the environment and people around us. But if we know how to relieve our stress and maintain our mental health, we may be heading in a good way. If the way of thinking change, the way of life changes, and I think we can maintain the health of heart.

Q3. Can you tell us a little bit about your hometown?

My hometown is Akashi in Hyogo prefecture! Everyone , have you ever heard of Akashi once? That’s right! Akashi is Japan’s prime meridian! Standard time meridia is based on Akashi located 135 degrees east. The Astronomical Science Museum is located near my house and you can see the planetarium. Also there’re hero who protect the universe , name is “shigosenja” haha. It’s famous in Akashi.

The Shigosenja

There are two charms of Akashi!

First, Akashi is cozy town! Akashi is facing the Seto Inland Sea and there is the world’s longest suspension bridge which called Akashi strait Ohashi. Everyday many fishing boats and passenger ships pass under it! The illumination lighted up in the night is very beautiful! When you come to Akshi, I recommended to see the night view!

Secondly, Akashi’s seafood is so delicious! Akashi is particularly famous for octopus, the octopus raised in the fast-flowing Seto Inland Sea is tight and crunchy. Akashi-yaki is also famous! It has a round shape like takoyaki ( octopus grilled) and is made using a lot of eggs. If you come to Akashi, you should try to eat once!!

I have lived in Akashi for 17 years. There are many shops, libraries, parks, and place to play around Akashi station. There is an event on the day off and it is lively! I love Akashi! I want to continue living in this town from now on (Lol)
